A marketplace doesn't earn money from its design. It earns from every vehicle that changes hands. AeroAuctions is built for exactly that: dealers list their vehicles, buyers bid against each other live, and when the auction ends the winner pays right on the platform. The platform keeps a commission on every dealer sale, 7 % in this example, before the rest goes to the dealer. You decide the rate. No invoices to write, no payments to chase.

Private sellers pay nothing. That isn't charity, it's strategy: people who can sell their own car for free come back, tell their friends and bring along the buyers that dealers are happy to pay commission for.

The math

Say 45,000 dealer vehicles a year are sold on your platform. That's about 3,750 a month, or roughly 125 a day.

Even a tenth of that, 4,500 dealer vehicles a year at €20,000, comes to €6.3M in commission. Running the platform takes one server.

All figures are gross. Fees for Stripe, the platform's payment service provider, come off them.

An example calculation, not a forecast. The 7 % is an example rate: you set it yourself, higher or lower, to fit your business model. Payments run through the payment service provider Stripe, whose fees come out of your share. Net commission is therefore below the gross figure and must be accounted for in any calculation. Money that collects itself

Payments run through Stripe. Dealers connect their bank account once, buyers save a card, and on every sale Stripe splits the amount automatically: your commission to you, the rest to the dealer. Identity checks before the first bid and penalties for non-payers keep time-wasters out.

Free for private sellers, by design

Private sellers get one active listing each and pay no commission. The platform fills with vehicles and visitors before the first dealer pays, and dealers find an audience that is already there.

Everything besides the vehicles on your site, you edit yourself in the admin.

Write news

Articles with categories, images and scheduled publishing. Authors write, editors approve.

Build new pages

Assemble pages from ready-made blocks, with live preview, drafts and SEO fields. The home and browse pages are edited the same way.

Create contact and enquiry forms without code; replies arrive in the admin and by email.

Menus and footer

Navigation, dropdowns and footer columns by drag and drop.

Built to last

AeroAuctions runs on a current stack: Next.js and React on the front end, Payload CMS as the admin, MongoDB as the database, Tailwind CSS for styling and TypeScript throughout. These are the tools large platforms are built with today, so you can always find developers who know them. The whole application runs in a single Docker container, database migrations apply on start-up, and scheduled jobs such as closing auctions are handled by the app itself.
